RVM Integrator v1.4.2 (http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn)[/center:a18a45f63e]

[center:a18a45f63e]http://siginet.ryanvm.net/images/integrator.gif[/center:a18a45f63e]

There have been a lot of changes (some that I will probably forget to mention).

Changelog:
v1.4.2:
Removed all of the 7zip dlls and replaced the 7zip plugin with a custom written 7zdn.exe by: Oleg Scherbakov.
Also added the possibility to use ExtraFileEdits on files at the root of your disk. To do this you can use <ROOT>\file.ext|search|replace|0
<ROOT> will specify the root of your destination (Example: D:\IntegratedFiles\XPPO)

v1.4.1:
1. Added new logo by HJW.
2. Fixed WPI Plugin.
3. Added WPI Plugin download and setup support.
4. New icon by WolfX2.
5. Fixed other minor bugs.

I fixed any known bugs that have been reported.
I'm sure a bug may slip through somehow.

Here are the important things that have been added:

1. New support for updatpacks / addons compressed in .7z, .rar, and .zip
2. WPI (Windows Post Install) Plugin! Which will allow for new WPIAddons. (Which are Comeing soon)
3. Processes for integration has shifted a bit. Now driver.cab expansion is towards the beginning so people can easily shift stuff in and out of it before it is recompressed into driver.cab.
4. New section for entries.ini [DriverCab_Copy] which allows you to copy a new file from your updatepack into driver.cab.

*NOTE* BTW to use the new WPI plugin you must download WPI from http://www.wpiw.net and extract it inside of the integrator executables Plugins directory. File structure should look like this:

.\Plugins\WPI\wpi.hta
I will make v1.4.2 soon and will have the integrator automatically download the plugin for you and extract it. But I didn't have time to implement it in 1.4.

I will add to this thread some more when I remember what else has been changed.

Please rate and download the program at BetaNews.com!

Is there a limit to the length of the characters in a line for ExtraFileEdits?

And does it process the edit in order?

It does however process the [ExtraFileEdits] list within each entry file in the order they were written in that entry file. Top to bottom.

No there is no limit in the length as far as I know. It processes it in alphabetical order according to the names of the entries files.

Actually the integrator is very fast at hex editing as it is. I'm not sure how soon I am releasing v1.5. I haven't done many changes to it yet. I have been concentrating on the new "OEM ACT" project. v1.4.1 seems pretty stable as it is... so I don't think there will be many changes in v1.5. ;)

How about a small feature ? If the addon being integrated has its entries.ini file named entries.ini, rename it to entries_1.ini (and so on...) during processing, this would cancel the requirment that entries.ini files need to have unique names.

I wonder what changes v1.5 will have ;).

Not a bad idea. I can do that.

Hi,
Has the section sorting behaviour of [EditFile] been removed in this version ?

Thanks for the new release, btw :).

No I don't think it is needed. If you do not want to sort you can use ExtraFileEdits.

I've been having problems with crashes on my main PC and I'd just installed RTM on my Sempron64 so I thought I'd compile it on there but it doesn't get very fare before i falls over

it checks the version of the source and then starts changing the attributes and then prints a blank line and the OS version again and that's the end of the log

I have tried disabling all the visual affects and set the compatibility to Windows XP SP2

Any ideas?
7Zip plugin?
AutoIt3 bug?

-----------------------------------

I forgot to mention

Source is a network mounted drive (z:\org_cds\winxp_sp2_mini)
Destination is local (C:\Users\{username}\Windows Installers\WinXP\)
Plugins are all by RyanVM (WGA, DX9, WMP10, Addons)
Update Pack is 2.1.4

-----------------------------------
 Damn Vista. I copied it all to the PC and it works now.... Must have been 7Zip and the mapped drive as its working now

the problem was because of 7Zip extracting the files in the maps drive

copied all the files to the PC Running Vista and it worked fine.

Is there any possibility of having a WPI Plugin section like we have for Add-ons & Update packs?

I know the add-ons can be in different folders if its done by editing the settings file but that's a pain. I was to be able to keep them in different folders

just a suggestion that all

There is a wpi addons forum at Ryanvm.net

I know. I'm meaning another box in the integrator to select the WPI Plugins rather than using the Addon box

@Siginet...does the integrator have any limitations to special characters <>()\/@*_%&?

And how would we work around these limitations if these are used in a text string like in ExtraFileEdits or EditFile?

Not sure if this helps but this is something I found:
DK_CM_ATTR_ALPHANUM_EXT (The string contains alphanumeric and other special characters.)

As far as I know there isn't any limitations when using ExtraFileedits and those characters. Have you had any issues? There are limitations with file paths and those characters though. I will be looking into fixing any issues in regaurds to these characters. Thanks for the info.

Nevermind...I have no idea why it wasn't working but after testing it about 50 times I am back to square one but it's working.
