I bumped into this whole new fantastic world whilst browsing the nlite website.
All I wanted to do originally was slipstreaming the sata drivers to my windowsXP cd.
Now all I want is to apply as many addons and patches, plus add sata drivers. is it possible to do this easily using the RyanVM integrator?
Thanks

in nlite choose "drivers" and show it where the sata drivers at
it will look for some oem.inf usually ,hit next & it will integrate them
maybe there will be other ways to do this automatically with drivergrabber
later on ...

I would love to use nlite in conjunction with integrator, so to get the best from both worlds:
Add custom drivers using nlite and addons and custompacks using integrator.
But after some research some forums recommend running nlite before integrator, the integrator webpage suggests not to do so so I'm a little bit puzzled :)
All I needed really is to create a customized i386 folder using integrator and then add the sata drivers for windows to install on my laptop, nothing fancy.
Now if it was possible to use use the integrator addons in nlite, I could as well do everything in nlite, otherwise I should have a look at driverpacks but this is one extra variable to put in the equation :)
any suggestion?
thanks a lot

integrator wont integrate the sata drivers if thats what you are looking to know
so the choices are really all laid in the previous reply's you got here
as to addons:
some addons are designed to run on one of the specific
most addons can run on both
no special instructions needed on whats the correct order
so long as you can avoid doing things that wont make sense ... ;)

Im fairly new to these softwares and I'm getting confused easily with nlite integrator and driverpapacks base..
All I wanted was a simple way to add sata drivers and carry on adding packs and addos with integrator.
I was thinking running nlite and simply add the sata drivers manually and save it as i386 folder,
then running integrator and (pretending this was a fresh i386 folder) just add custom pack and addons.
In other words I was hoping that the little difference between the mint i386 folder and the one with sata drivers wouldn't cause much harm with integrator.
Thanks for your help

It should be best to use nLite last. It doesn't make any since whatsoever to remove things before you integrate. You can't really remove what is not there yet. ;)
I have been getting many requests for mass storage integrating. So I will work on putting something together. I have had times myself when I have needed it.

As mentioned in the other thread I've used nlite to implement the custom packs and some addons.
