First off, I have been using your Powerpacker for a while now, thank you for this awesome program! My DVD has 78 different versions of XP (mainly due to my inability to learn oemscan) and works great!
I have updated my discs to SP3 and run them through powerpacker, and all seems well until installation where they BSOD. I then noticed there is not much talk of SP3 around here, and wonder if anyone has successfully made a SP3 multiboot using Powerpacker. If so, I must be doing something wrong!

So far the only way to Multiboot SP3 XP that I know of is to replace the setupldr.bin file with one from an sp2 cd. ;)

I have tried replacing the file both before and after running powerpacker and still get a BSOD "Process1_initialization"
I take it there are very few SP3 multiboots yet? I can accept that it will take a while to crack, but it seems odd that nobody is talking about it!

Hmm that is very odd because I have done it many times with no issues. :( I usually replace setupldr.bin before I use PowerPacker.

My steps were:
Slipstream SP3
Test as a single boot cd, works OK
Replace setupldr.bin with one from my SP2
Tested again as a single boot, works ok
run powerpacker (tried with and without driverpacks), BSOD
It BSOD's right after "setup is loading files", when it switches to "Setup is loading windows"
I have also tried to run powerpacker before replacing the setupldr.bin files, replacing them after powerpacker had ran- same error.
I have tried on a few versions of XP (home, pro) and same BSOD.
Thank you for your time, I will keep playing with it. I would never rule out the possibility of an User Error! hahaha

Hmmm... it may be possible it works when I use my beta version of PowerPacker. PowerPacker is one of my next programs that I will be updating. I don't know when I will release an update yet.

You know what... I remember a bug I fixed that deals with quotes around certain dosnet.inf [FloppyFiles.*] values.
For instance:
ntdll.dll,"system32\ntdll.dll"
Basically I noticed that SP3 would add quotes to that section whereas SP2 and earlier did not. So it was messing things up. PowerPacker would not anticipate any quotes. So check your dosnet.inf file and remove the quotes before using powerpacker... or make sure you add system32\ntdll.dll into your boot folders which are located at the root of the powerpacked destination. Like XPPC XOPC and so on. XPPC\system32\ntdll.dll.

sorry, I am just now getting back to testing. The quotes were the problem, after removing them everything works great.

Same here. Removing the dosnet.inf quotes in FloppyFiles* and Files* sections fixed the problem.

Hey
I have read this topic and tried all the fixed but still my Dutch xp pro sp3 gives blue screens when using the powerpacker....
What I did:
I have integrated update packs with RyanVM integrator (tested and works)
I used Xpize to change icons (tested and works)
I used nLite to create custom install... (not completely unattended) (tested and works)
When I use powerpackers I get a bluescreen (SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED error) at the stage where the text base setup really starts (message in bottom of the screen is starting windows (or dutch windows wordt gestart).
I have allready tried replacing the setupldr.bin with a sp2 version from a dutch xp home oem sp2 and with a english xp pro retail sp2 no effect.
Also checked the dosnet.inf file for "'s but none were present in any of the sections (only at the strings section at the bottom)....
Powerpacker was set to tri-pack unattended and with driverpacks (also tested and working before seperatly) with no extra pack files and no extra root files.
Any idea's??? would love to make an multi windows update cd....

Hmm strange, got powerpacker working with dutch SP3 without any adjustments....
Used the source cd's instead of the updated and nlited cd's and worked perfect.
Didn't replace setupldr or the "s anywhere and worked great....
Gonna try each step to figure out where it stop working...
