i just posted this over at the msfn forum, but i'm not sure you still check there. so here's pretty much the same question.

Usually when i pack a cd, i can cram 5 or 6 different versions into 1. It usually looks like this:

Dell
Gateway
XP Home
XP Pro
XP Home OEM
XP Home Upgrade

I tried integrating driver packs during the Nlite portion of my integration (I do nlite for each disk, then pack them all in). The individual cds are still small, but when i create the iso (usually about 650 megs), it's now over a gig. A quick windiff tells me that a ton of files in the i386 directory are slightly different. As far as i can tell, only 1 byte. I ran a regular nlite, then an nlite with a driver pack added. as a result, my iso went up 150megs.

Any idea why it'd cause a byte change like that? Is that normal? And if so, is there anything i can do to prevent it? I'd really like to add the driver packs, but not if they're going to make it so that my regular iso wont fit on 1 cd anymore.

Check the thread at msfn. ;)

I frequently visit msfn ryanvm and my own forums. ;) So anywhere you ask I will get it. :D
