Office2007 Post SP2 HotPack Unable to open database...wordhelp-en-us.msp in Read mode

Hi,

Thanks for the excellent tool. I am trying to integrate Office 2007 ProPlus with Office 2007 SP2 and Post SP2 Hot-packs Office12-PostSP2-HotPack-glb-1016.7z downloaded from link from the forum post of [Release] Office12 (2007) Post SP2 HotPack for English (ENU).

The integration of the Office12-PostSP2-HotPack-glb-1016.7z fails with the log output in the log window being

Unable to open database C:\DOCUME~1\<username>\LOCALS~1\Temp\Working\HotPack\wordhelp-en-us.msp in Read mode

Subsequently the Office Integrator completes the integration of SP and Hot Packs and shows that it has completed both the tasks. However on executing the MS Office 2007's setup.exe, the setup.exe terminates unexpectedly.

I also tested integration only SP2 with Office 2007 ie, without the post SP2 Hot pack integration and the setup works fine in this case.

The complete log is as also attached to this post. However, the log does not contain the above error which I am speaking of. The error is printed in the log window only while I select the hot pack in the hot pack selection window

How can I resolve this?

I'll take a stab, but i'm guessing

-check the extractions folder for the permissions and see if its different from the other files

-try the integration again but in the selection of the hotfixes uncheck that file wordhelp-en-us.msp and see how the integration goes

-try the microsoft updates even after that error and see if that file comes back as one of the optional updates.

Hi,

the installation works fine if we unselect the said package and the package appears in the Microsoft Update. Also I was able to integrate the package by downloading the same from the MS Site.

I had the same problem. It's a bad upload. Try downloading from the Rapidshare link. I think that one works. I believe the Mediafire link is corrupt because you can't extract the wordhelp-en-us.msp file even though it "seems" to integrate fine.

Its possible i goofed with not checking it, the last round gave me a lot of trouble, if anyone can verify the 2 mirrors i'd appreciate it.
I'll try to check it as soon as possible

OK Confirmed. The mediafire download is corrupt. The Rapidshare works fine

Well i tried uploading the file 3 times to mediafire and each time it becomes corrupted on the upload or download.

It was my plan to do away with the mediafire mirror anyways, i know people like them but its also time consuming to publish them

So for now i will just have one download at Rapidshare
