    Default Useless Office Integrator functions

Just want to know which functions people don't use or think are redundant with the integrator. I am working on the config tabs and have combined them into the one tab.

During this I noticed some bugs that haven't been reported so assume folks don't use them. One example would be the up down buttons on the chained and mst listviews. Does anybody change the sort order? or can these be removed?

Had to open the OI to 'see' what you were talking about - I have no recollection of ever using the Up/Down arrow keys.

    Unnecessary?

Started OI > Product Key > Others - when does this come into play and what is considered "Others"?

Service Pk (0) Tab - really should say Service Pack and why so many rows? I would think the most ever service packs to list would be one.

Config 1 Tab > MST - what is MST an abbreviation for? Should be spelled out. Also, I read the Help file on this item - I have no idea what MST means or why it is used. (Maybe I'm not familier enough with all the 'stuff' that comes with Office.)

The others key is for Office 2003 cd2/3/4 and 5, basically frontpage visio etc. The only time it would be used is when creating an AIO with all the CDs.

Service Pk and the size of the list were just for aesthetics. I tried to keep the GUI as small as poss and did some mods to the tabs but was to lazy to resize all th e controls for each tab so pack was shortened to PK. With an AIO there could be up to 4 service packs, but the listview is that size to keep it uniform with the Hotfix listview size. Moot now as there is only one tab called Updates, all SP and Hotfixes are added together.

MST is a Windows Installer transform file (.mst) hence the abbreviation. Though more people would be unsure what a transform file was than an mst. Again moot as only one Config tab. The tab text changes with the name of the config file i.e setup.ini or config.xml. You can create a transform file to add tweaks or enable\disable the installation of specific components of the Office suite, i.e install Office 2003 but only Word and excel instead of the full suite.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the arrows will be going bye bye, save me a coding headache anyway, just wasted a day trying to work out how to make them function correctly.
